The definition of al-istiqaamah says the author, may Allah have mercy on him, " Al, Istiqaamah is treading the straight path-which is the correct religion without swerving left or right. This includes performing all acts of obedience, both outward and inward, and abstaining from all Prohibitions similarly.Thus this advice [that the prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam)gave to Sufyaan Ibn Abdillaah ath-thaqafee]is total and comprehensive for the entire religion.''
