History of Islam, the Caliphate of Banu Umayyah, Mu’awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan (RA) is the fifth book in the History of Islam series by Darussalam. This series is developed to allow the Muslim youth to study authentic Islamic history and the glorious days of their past. This book deals with the life and rule of Amir Mu’awiyah (RA), a critical figure in the history of Islam. Mu’awiyah (RA) was successful in ending the destructive civil war era of Islam and his caliphate laid the foundation of the Umayyad Dynasty which operated for ninety years until it was overthrown by the Abbasids. The book is divided into four chapters namely, The Umayyads, Political Skills of Mu’awiyah, The conquests Resumed, and Mu’awiyah and Reforms.
